Bangladesh suffered early blow losing both the opening batsmen within six overs in their first Super-Four stage battle of the 14th Asia Cup against India at Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Friday.
Shakib Al Hasan [4 off 4b; 1×4] and Mushfiqur Rahim [1 off 8b] were at the crease in the third wicket on Bangladesh’s 21/2* from 7 overs.
Sending in to bat first, Bangladesh opened the innings and opener Liton Kumar Das was sent back to the pavilion by Bhuvneshwar Kumar at 15 in the third ball of the fourth over before Jasprit Bumrah got Nazmul Hossain Shanto in the first ball of the sixth over. UBN
Scoring a seven-run each, Liton and Shanto was caught by Kedar Jadhav and Shikhar Dhawan respectively.
Earlier, winning the toss Indian skipper Rohit Sharma opted to bowl first in the game.
