Nokia Chief Product Officer Juho Sarvikas informed that Nokia 8 is set to get plethora of new features including the Android 9 Pie rollout, support for ARCore, and the improved camera features along with the Face Unlock feature in the coming months.
Android9 Pie roll out will initiate few major changes to the smartphone, while the ARCore support allows users to experience augmented reality on the smartphone using the cameras. Coming to price and specifications, Nokia is priced at Rs. 28,999 in India currently , after the launch previous year. Specs wise, The dual-SIM (Nano) Nokia 8 sports a 5.3-inch QHD (1440×2560 pixels) IPS display with 2.5D curved Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection and is based on Android 8.1 Oreo software version. When it comes to performances, the device is powered by Snapdragon 835 that is paired with an Adreno 540 GPU, 4GB RAMand 64GB of internal memory for the base model, with 6GB RAM + 128GB storage for the other version.
It accommodates a 13 + 13MP dual-camera configuration present at the back of the smartphone, followed by a single 13MP selfie shooter at the front. The primary shooter can record 4K video at 30fps. The device has a 3.5mm headphone jack and the connectivity options include 802.11a/ac/b/g/n, Bluetooth 5.0 with LE, NFC, GPS and A-GPS.
